Bajolek garments are designed for a close, performance fit. The measurements below are taken from the finished garment laid flat and unstretched—not from the body. For the most reliable comparison, lay a similar garment flat, measure it without stretching, and match those measurements to the tables below.
Between sizes? Choose the larger size for a more relaxed fit. For young riders, use garment measurements first and age only as a guide.

How to measure
Best method: compare the table with similar stretch riding wear that fits well. Fasten it, lay it flat, smooth it naturally and measure without stretching.
Flat versus around: “flat” is a straight measurement across one side of a garment. “Around” is twice that measurement. The tables are finished-garment measurements, so body measurements will not match them exactly because performance garments stretch and are designed with close-fitting ease.
1. Measure your body
- Bust or chest: measure around the fullest part, keeping the tape level across the back.
- Natural waist: measure around the narrowest point without holding your breath or pulling the tape tight.
- Hips or seat: measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat.
- Inseam: measure from the crotch to the ankle along the inside leg.
2. Measure breeches laid flat
Measure the waist across the top edge, hips across the widest part, and outseam from the top of the waistband to the hem. The detailed tables also show waistband height, front rise and hem width.
3. Measure a riding top laid flat
Measure chest or bust from underarm to underarm, waist at the narrowest point, hem across the lower edge, and body length from the highest shoulder point to the hem.
Fit notes
- Bajolek riding wear is intended to have a close performance fit.
- If your garment measurement falls between sizes, choose the larger size for more room.
- For young riders, an adult should measure. Use measurements first and age only as a secondary guide.
- Do not compare a body circumference directly with a flat garment measurement.
International conversions and children’s height bands are approximate because sizing conventions vary by brand and region. Finished-garment measurements can vary slightly through normal production.
